Judging: Coastal Photo Club Major Print Competition

On November 12, I will be honored to serve as one of the judges for the Coastal Photo Club’s Major Print Competition. My fellow judge will be Bob Mackowski, owner/photographer of Open Aperture Photography. Bob’s company specializes in commercial business photography and video including branding, headshots, events, food, products, editorial, and commercial exteriors and interiors.

For the upcoming annual major print competition, the talented photographers in this club will share their images for juding in one of three categories: Color, Monochrome, and Photo Manipulation. Two tiers have been established: one for advanced photographers and one for those who are beginner and intermediate. Winners will be selected by the judges based on photographic and artistic merit, regardless of the subject matter.

I’m super excited to soon be experiencing these photographers’ images in person!

With monthly field trips for photoshoots and frequent mini-competitions, Coastal Photo Club’s hundreds of members capture moments and events in their beautiful North Carolina surroundings. Recent outings documented historical reenactments, beach scenes, wildlife sanctuaries, and festivals. This active club is affiliated with the Photographic Society of America.
