We’re in the heady sticky sweet days of summer, and that means it’s time to eat simply and enjoy the simple pleasures like figs and honey. They are dusky and sweet, with tender flesh, and they make the perfect complement to creamy goat cheese. Drizzle them with honey and you need nothing more – except maybe a glass of crisp cool Pinot Grigio.
Experiment with different types of honey. Here, I tried a local raw honey from Bard-Roc Farms of Cunningham, Tennessee. It was rich and perfectly sweet. Thank you Don Walker, for producing such magnificent honey.
